There is very little content on this page that hasn't been cut and pasted from the UCLA gateway site, which is © 2006 The Regents of the University of California. Devious Viper 03:53, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Back when I attended UCLA I had some interactions with "Chuck" Young. Some of these are covered by the LA Times and the Daily Bruin. Items that might be interesting: - Alumni Association News on the death of his wife, who I recall as a nice lady.
-LA Times or Daily Bruin on the time he was arrested by LAPD for drunk driving and the charges were dropped.
-UCLA archives should have his PhD dissertation
-I recall that Chuck was an assistant to Chancellor Franklin Murphy before becoming Chancellor himself.
-Although I don't know if their are any public records, there were roomers that Chuck was using his sailboat to have an affair with the president of the student body. This was in the period that his wife left the Chancellor's Residence.
-Chuck was Chancellor when there was a riot on the campus involving a Vietnam War Protest which required Chuck's involvement.
