Spivak's Yiddish Dictionary

[edit]

The Yiddish dictionary by C D Spivak and S Bloomgarden (Yehoash) is here, and elsewhere, described as a Yiddish-English dictionary. In fact, it is purely Yiddish, or more accurately, Hebrew-Yiddish. It contains common Hebrew words and phrases that might be used by a Yiddish speaker, with an explanation of each written in Yiddish.
