Anecdote from IP editor re Bickford
[edit]I'm quoting from an old TV GUIDE interview, published when Bickford was on THE VIRGINIAN.
"After ANNA CHRISTIE, Bickford objected to the "garbage" he had since been forced to appear in.
When summoned into Louis B.Mayer's office and told to behave, he called the most powerful man in movies
a "posturing ignoramus" and "a venemous little junk peddler".
So,Clark Gable became the next big leading man at MGM" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.23.5.11 (talk • contribs) 19:36, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
