– As Maine Chief Justice Charles P. Barnes has now been promoted to mainspace, I find it questionable that the Australian politician is the primary topic for this rather common combination of given name and surname. The disambiguation page, Charlie Barnes, now contains more people named Charles then Charlie (and two of the Charlies are formally names Charles), and of those, Charles Reid Barnes by itself averages more pageviews than the Australian politician over the long term. - Support. When I created this article way back when I was going to call it "Ceb Barnes" as that was how he was generally known during his career but (IIRC) there was a consensus to keep it as "Charles Barnes". I thought it was only a matter of time before a more notable Charles Barnes came along, and here we are. --Roisterer (talk) 22:55, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
