When I wrote the gauge change article (now mercilessly merged into gauge conversion (BTW the latter term actually has two meanings, unnoticed by the author), I noticed that the term has severaltechnical meanings, hence the dab page was born. Laudak (talk) 01:26, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gauge change also has more than one meaning in railroading, as well as it's other uses. It is widely use to refer to situations where passengers change trains because of a a break of gauge. likely resulting in the aviation use of the term.
