Notability
[edit]I see the notability of this album has been questioned. Why? This is a compilation album with notable artists contributing tracks to an album about Barack Obama, with Oprah Winfrey as the executive producer. Each musician involved has their own article, and several sources are used for verification, including Pitchfork Media, Allmusic and the Presidential Inaugural Committee. What else needs to be done for the notability tag to be removed? --Another Believer (Talk) 21:07, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
- Hi. Wikipedia: Notability says: "If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to satisfy the inclusion criteria for a stand-alone article." So far the article hasn't provided any secondary sources, like newspaper stories, that have given the album significant coverage.Borock (talk) 02:28, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
- I found some coverage by Philadelphia Daily News (can the A- rating be used under the professional reviews section of the album infobox?), Rolling Stone, Billboard, Essence, and Chicago Sun-Times. Hopefully this will satisfy the notability requirement. --Another Believer (Talk) 05:58, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
- Great. I will take off the tag. Borock (talk) 14:42, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
