a small point of confusion
[edit]"A small point of confusion: the publisher issued the book in its Golden Field Guide series, using the Golden Guide name for its science books for younger readers." Why introduce even a small point of confusion? If Birds of North America: A Guide to Field Identification, 1966 is a Golden Field Guide, then identify it so and just link it.--Wetman (talk) 17:50, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- The point is that while it was a "Golden Field Guide", it was published under the "Golden Guide" label, which was an entirely different series. - The Bushranger One ping only 19:29, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- Not exactly. It's that birders call the book by Robbins, Bruun, and Zim "the Golden Guide" because the author names aren't prominent (and there are three of them) and as if there were only one book by that name, while the publisher released it under the "Golden Field Guide" series.Dgorsline (talk) 14:37, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
