Chinese connection?
[edit]Does the name "Chan Chan" carry any implication that the protagonist of the song's lyrics is of Chinese Cuban origin? Badagnani (talk) 21:02, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Um, no... Chan Chan is a ruin in Peru. Besides, Cubans will name their kids anythingFriendly Person (talk) 22:44, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
Key Signature
[edit]Does anyone happen to know the key of this song? Occidental (talk) 21:18, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Strange Cover
[edit]There is a very strange cover of this song. The song "La Danza de Los Nadie" by Hechos Contra El Decoro is a rap song set against the musical background of Chan Chan. I noticed this when I heard "La Danza de Los Nadie" played on "Democracy Now". I don't know how many have noticed this, but it is unmistakable. An odd tribute to a great tune! ---Dagme (talk) 05:01, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
