- Lead
- Would like to see chamois leather linked at it's first usage.
- Linked
- Early years
- In 1939, Joseph Boinot was appointed president of the club. – Do you have any information on whether this gentleman is related to the owner/founder? It would seem a coincidence if not!
- Unfortunately no, none of the sources expand on this. Like you say though, it does seem a coincidence.
- This page would suggest he was the son of Theophile, presumably then, brother of Charles? Harrias talk 08:03, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- In 1943, the club were one of the founder members of the Championnat de France amateur (CFA). – A short explanation of the CFA would be nice here.
- Added that it is the highest amateur league in France.
- After the Second World War
- when they finished behind Stade Quimpérois by just five points. – not sure about the use of 'just' here. Five points is quite a bit considering the leaders finished with 34 points.
- Removed
- Reference 6 brings up a blank table, thus not verfiying anything from the paragraph, and doesn't appear as though it would be backing up your claims regarding the change of management. Could you make the referencing more clear here?
- Fixed the broken refs
- Referencing also seems sparse in the second paragraph, with league restructuring and management changes seemingly unreferenced.
- Added a couple of citations
- Professional status
- Reference for the rules of the DNCG?
- I can't find the rules for such a long time ago, so have changed the sentence to just say that they became professional, because I could source that.
- Return to regional football
- as they were forced to become a semi-professional outfit. – Why were they? Due to league rules, or financial difficulties? Could do with expanding upon this statement.
- Done, referenced to the DNCG rules for that season.
- A general point; you often claim that managers were handed the task of getting the team promoted. Is this what you guess the manager's targets were, or can you show that it is? Because this article may reflect badly on a few if they were trying to survive relegation when you say they were meant to be getting the team promoted.
- The Pascal Gastien one is accurate, and is cited to the video in ref 17. However, seeing as I couldn't find a source that said this outright for the other couple, I have amended them.
- Colours and badge
- The first paragraph seems to be what you think the logo represents. Can you provide a source for the fact that this is in fact what the logo represents. The one you source talks about the foundation of the club, but not the logo.
- Since I couldn't find a source discussing the meaning of the logo, the start of this section now just contains a description of the badge that can be verified by simply looking at it.
- Stadium
- As mentioned in the peer review, could you explain why the record attendance is higher than the capacity.
- I don't know why it is, and there's no sources to say why it is. I think it's because there were more standing places then than there are now. Many stadiums have higher record attendance than the current capacity; I don't think it's too confusing for any readers.
- Managers
- there has been 31.. – should be 'have' not 'has'.
- Changed
That's all from me at the moment, once you have sorted out these issues I'll give a more in-depth copy-edit of the article. A lot seems to have been picked up in the peer review, but the biggest issue is the referencing, which needs a lot of work to ensure that all the claims made in the article can be backed up by a reference. I'll watch this page, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page once you've worked through most of the above points. Harrias talk 13:31, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review, I have attempted to address your points. If there's still anything else you want doing, I'll have another go. Cheers, -- BigDom 10:21, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
- I've added a link to some more information about Joseph Boinot. However, I'm happy that the article fulfils the Good article criteria. I'm sure I've missed a few things, but a fine tooth comb can wait for if you take it to Featured article; it's certainly good enough for GA. Harrias talk 08:03, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
