map images confusing

[edit]

there are two maps at the top of the article. I can't reconcile their shapes and characteristics. the red dot on the political map doesn't seem to be in the same physical area as the other map, which I don't know what its boundaries represent. can someone who knows this topic shed some light? @Al Begamut, I think you are right. One map is supposedly showing the entire stream from the source up to the Congo River confluence (Chambeshi >>> Luapula >>> Luvua) while the other map is merely showing a single topographical point on the river without much to look at. I'm guessing the second topographical map is merely there for the purposes of the "Co-ord" function but it is not a map with enough information, in my opinion. Let's hope somebody comes over to create a better map like the one on the Zambezi River article. GeographicAccountant (talk) 20:13, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Source - or mouth?

[edit]

The co-ordinates given for the source seem to refer to the point at which it enters the Bangweulu Wetlands, i.e. its terminus. The source looks to be closer to the national border at Tunduma/Nakonde. Geopersona (talk) 14:41, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
