Laura Chamberlain

[edit]

I can find no record of this "World Famous Australian Journalist" so I'm reverting the article as vandalism. I am happy to be proved wrong, however. Vvitor 08:16, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Neville Chamberlain

[edit]

This note is prompted by the recent removal of Neville Chamberlain (NC) from this page.

In fact, there is a strong case for making NC the WP:PRIMARY TOPIC of this disambiguation. See the link for details. See also the page views for NC: https://tools.wmflabs.org/pageviews/?project=en.wikipedia.org&platform=all-access&agent=user&range=latest-60&pages=Neville_Chamberlain which shows an average number of hits over the last 60 days of 4,400+. His son Austen, the Nobel Prize winner, gets 172. I've tried some of the more likely candidates from the surname article, but haven't been able to find anyone who comes close to NC.

Most probably, anyone entering "Chamberlain" in the wiki search box will expect to go to NC's page.

No-one who has listened to that famous BBC recording will forget NC's fateful Declaration of War, the formal start of World War II, an event that traumatised the whole of my parents' generation.

I have therefore restored NC to this page. If editors think he shouldn't be here, then the whole disambiguation will instead have to be rearranged to make him the primary topic.

wilt chamberlain

[edit]

i'm afraid i'll edit it wrong so i'm not adding him, but shouldn't wilt chamberlain be on the surname list? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.176.40.85 (talk) 01:25, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
