GA review 1
[edit]I'm going to quick fail this article as it comes under number 2 of Immediate failures. It contains 82.5% copyrighted material.
See here and this was the number before edits by Akrasia25. uniquecarsandparts.com.au is a well established and fairly old website.

- I will remove and rewrite article. Thank you for your time and review.--Akrasia25 (talk) 15:58, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
- Sure, I know that it's an accident. This has happened to me many times but I don't want anyone to come and sue the editors. But note, it was 55% copyrighted before you, so someone else also has accidentally done it. AussieCoinCollector (talk) 04:25, 9 January 2021 (UTC)
- You are too kind. Happy New Year to you. It is such a cool car. I think I added the text thinking that a future owner would need to know this stuff before it is lost. I also know that WP is not a manual. TIL how to use EarWig.--Akrasia25 (talk) 19:25, 9 January 2021 (UTC)

Rewrite of article to remove copywritten material
[edit]I think that I have cleaned it up. I am not sure what is the next step. Does an admin look at it now and copy the text over to the article? The rewritten article is at Talk:Chalmers Automobile/Temp--Akrasia25 (talk) 03:01, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
I'm not too sure but I think yes. AussieCoinCollector (talk) 06:18, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
@Akrasia25 Nice work, see here AussieCoinCollector (talk) 07:10, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
- Rewrote article to remove copyright material. See User_talk:AussieCoinCollector#Chalmers_Auto for consensus to edit. Also Earwig [1] shows 13% which is now just lists of models or a street address. Thank you to AussieCoinCollector for encouragement.--Akrasia25 (talk) 15:51, 12 January 2021 (UTC)

Merging with Maxwell Motors
[edit]Both the Chalmers and the maxwell pages are bothe stated as being taken over by walter chrysler and show chrysler sales figures after the purchase. i think either thez should be merged or a separate Maxwell-Chalmers page should be made as they were known after the merger of chalmers and maxwell upto the dicontinuation of the chalmers brand.[1]
- Strong oppose. Both firms had independent histories for much longer than the brief period that they were merged before becoming Chrysler. There is a high enough amount of content in both articles that merging them would be disastrous; it would be needlessly difficult to find information and it would not be a benefit in any way to Wikipedia readers. --Sable232 (talk) 21:15, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
- Strong oppose. As the author of many of the edits on this page, I have looked at this over the last month to think of a way a merge could work. The transition period is very confusing from the sources. I put the Chrysler sales figures in there to show how Chalmer's factory transitioned over to Chrysler. The financing alone between the companies would make the article unreadable. --Akrasia25 (talk) 21:32, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
