GA Toolbox

[edit]
Peer review tool
  • WP:LEAD - the lead is too short, even for a shortie like this. For GA we should aim for the higher number, in this case 2 paragraphs
Copyright violations Tool
  • Problem - large parts of the seasons 2012 and 2013 text looks to be taken directly from this source - http://www.tristategames.com.au/documents/SouvenirProgram2014n.pdf I checked the history and the text that matches the 2014 souvenir program was not there by the end of 2014, so it was added to Wikipedia after the program was published. I have blanked the 2012 and 2013 section for copyright violations and I am putting the GA review on hold to allow editors 7 days to come up with a non-plagiarized, well sourced, well written replacement for this, or it will be failed
  • Please note that the only reason I am not immediately failing this is because at the time of nomination there was no copyvio, the problem was introduced with this IP Edit that is dated after the nomination. I am giving the nominator @Thejoebloggsblog: a Good Faith opportunity to make adjustments instead of punishing the work he and others did for what is basically vandalism.
  • If this is accomplished in time I will be happy to do a full review of the article in whatever version it ends up in.  MPJ-US  21:07, 30 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure what the heck is going on with the copyvio tool, I am not getting the overlap now. What the heck?

Disambiguation links
  • No issues Green tickY
External links
  • The link to "top four dominate All-Australian squad" is dead

Broad in coverage

[edit]
  • No - it's 99% Australian Football, 1% other - is there really nothing outside of football that can be added?
  • This is a super short article, I mean there is almost nothing to it and what is there is generally high level - a whole season in a short paragraph. This is currently too short to be broad in coverage.

A few comments on what limited prose is there.

  • "In that game he kicked five goals" should be "In that game, he kicked five goals"
  • "game, however he" should be "game, however, he"
  • "8 to 22 as well as" should be "8 to 22, as well as"

@Thejoebloggsblog: - This has been on hold for 7 days and it's still ultra short, too short IMO to give the broad coverage the GA criteria prescribes. if there is no update by tomorrow I will have to fail this unfortunately.  MPJ-US  23:55, 6 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
