I have created this article for jazz drummer Chad Taylor. Through his work he has established himself as a major jazz artist of his generation. i used sources from major newspapers and music journals to support his notability Mistephake (talk) 20:22, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Since the article was declined I have added what i hope is the necessary citation to meet wiki's WP:NMUSIC requirements. See moderndrummer. it is a feature article on Taylor. I also added a cite from the village voice that focuses on Taylor's work as a leader. I hope these and any other improvements i've made help support the article to qualify for approval in my resubmission. Mistephake (talk) 16:14, 19 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Mistephake: I'm planning on accepting the article based on the Modern Drummer piece and the Chicago Reader article. If someone else decides that Chad Taylor does not meet the requirements of WP:BIO they will take it to WP:AFD where other editors will come to a WP:CONSENSUS on whether Chad Taylor deserves a stand-alone article. It's possible this content should simply be merged into Chicago Underground (jazz ensemble), but I think there's barely enough here to warrant a separate page.
That being said, I'd like to get rid of any content in the article that is currently unsourced. I'm going through and adding citations needed tags anywhere I can't tell where the information came from. You'll need to either find a source that actually makes the claims in the Wikipedia page or remove the sentences entirely. TipsyElephant (talk) 20:18, 19 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've worked on reducing the un cited refs and reformatted any of the correlating subjects. for ex most of his early life is covered in one article. Mistephake (talk) 15:29, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Mistephake: thank you. I'll take another look at it when I've got a little time. I would like to do a bit more cleanup before accepting the draft and I may end up removing sources and content that I believe to be unreliable or unnecessary. Sorry in advanced for all the trimming, I know it can feel like I'm just tearing down the work you've done. TipsyElephant (talk) 15:47, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
