Ambiguous sentence

[edit]

This sentence: "Hedricfdsdfgdfgdgk is also one of only four men to have broken the 13 minute barrier on the 10,000 m more than once (the others being Sven Kramer, Lasse Sætre and Carl Verheijen) and was the first to achieve this feat." is somewhat ambiguous. What feat is meant? That Hedrick was the first to break the 13 minute barrier, or the first to break it more than once? In case the former is meant, that is not true. The first to break the 13 minute barrier was Jochem Uytenhaage at the 2002 Winter Olympics (before Hedrick had even picked up Ice Skating).

It was wrong of him not to congragulate Shani Davis on his victory. Davis isn't the enemey in all of this.

For those who want to believe what Hedrick claims verus what Eric Heiden writes, read Eric Heiden's anaylysis at yahoo sports where he writes, "Davis did the right thing by not skating in the pursuit."

http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/torino2006/speed_skating/news?slug=eh-heiden021906&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

Someone keeps removing Eric Heiden's comments from the text. There is no greater authority in speed skating. The truth is scary isn't it?

Thanks for that information. Everyone knows that Davis was right. He even made the decision prior to the Olympics to not skate in that pursuit and if he knew he wasn't prepared for it he shouldn't do it.

The media just wants to portray Hedrick like some golden all American boy and make Davis out to be a traitor. Davis did the right thing and Hedrick should have not blasted him in the media or harassed him about not skating.

Hedrick is wrong. Davis is right.

This talk page should be about the article not what you think about Chad Hendrick.

standard skating technique for elite skaters ?

[edit]

This statement is not confirmed by sources; it is not the case in speed skating either. For one thing, most people would agree that female skaters do little DP, if any at all; also if many skaters use some kind of modern technique, nearly none would do a deep DP actually similar to Hedrick's. I suggest to remove this sentence.--Environnement2100 (talk) 10:43, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This needs a reference from a brief web search I couldn't find the source. More information is needed to confirm this isn't a confused fact.Tetron76 (talk) 22:44, 12 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
