The following is the "Not Gay Chad" info recently removed from the The Soup article, which I thought may be useful in expanding the related section in this article. — TAnthonyTalk06:11, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Every now and then the show plays a clip from Passions in which one on the characters, Chad, is talking to a friend in a bar. Chad explains how he and another man started dating and having sex, and his wonton lust for the man. Ethan responds with, "So that's when you realized you were gay?", and Chad then responds, "I told you, I am not gay." On The Soup's 2007 Clipdown, Part 2, the actor who portrays Chad (Charles Divins) showed up on set and was asked by Joel what it was like to be gay and dead, since his character had recently died on the show. The other man his character slept with apparently was a hermaphrodite (according to Divin) and thusly absolving his character of any gay label. Divins leaves the shot, only to have Joel follow up with "so your character sleeps with transsexuals?"
