The article on the Chacma Baboon has quite a bit of substance, having lots of details on the species but not quite at the length of a full-fledged, complete article. Although there is a section about behavior, it is focused on group and normal social behavior, not on mating behavior (which is what my topic is). I would like to see more on how the female develops sexual swellings to attract males, and how the Chacma baboons have mutual mate choice. There is a picture of a female in estrus, though the text does not discuss it in full detail. The article mentions three subspecies of the Chacma baboon, which could be expanded on in the future. The article is also written fairly neutrally, and has quite a bit of substance (even an audio file of a male baboon call). However, it would need a lot more details on sexual behavior and other details, such as food and interactions with other species, before it can be considered complete. I have edited this project as part of a college course assignment and added information on dispersal, adoption, foraging behavior, and friendships in chacma baboons.
Subspecies
I've merged the "range" and "habitat" headers under one general "Ecology" header. I'm looking at the "subspecies" header, and I think it can be merged with the description of the subspecies descriptions under "Ecology". I'm not really sure how to go about it, though, and I'm scared of messing up the references. Could whoever made that "subspecies" header move it up? WolfyFTW (talk) 20:43, 14 October 2012 (UTC)

Hi Gabriel, the article looks great! I changed some of the wording of the headings to be in line with the headings in featured articles. The behavior section seems very thorough and there were a lot of really interesting details. Furthermore, I think it had a really clear sequence and I think it really made sense how you sectioned the article. I made a few changes in regard to word choice and grammar, but other than that it looked great! I also included a few hyperlinks within the article. There was an error in the hyperlink to fitness, so I adjusted it to link to the correct page. Additional information could be added to create a taxonomy section. Hi Gabe, this article is very nicely written. Being the 3rd reviewer, there's not much I could find/edit. I changed a couple word choice and grammatical corrections, such as changing "vocalisations" to "vocalizations." I also added a few more hyperlinks including "grooming" and "lactating." You can consider adding more info on troops such as average size, etc. Njoymusic2 (talk) 21:57, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
