Devanagari
[edit]I added an etymology section sourced from the Oxford English Dictionary. I used an online tool [1] to generate the Devanagari script, but I am not an expert, so I would appreciate if someone would check to confirm if it is correct. Dforest (talk) 22:49, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Origin of Chaats
[edit]Intro text says that Eastern India is the origin, but the History section states that most chaats orginated in Uttar Pradesh; can this be clarified? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.111.120 (talk) 12:53, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
Maintenance Template
[edit]I don't think there should be a maintenance template at the top. I would ask before deleting it, so I'm asking.Bladeor (talk) 14:46, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
Taste of chaat in Hyderabad
[edit]While it is true that chaat tastes different in Hyderabad, it's because it's prepared mostly by migrants from Karnataka and locals. The kind that is sold by veteran North Indian vendors might differ in taste too, but that depends on location and because it's tailored to local tastes. The Bihari/UP style vendors are a relatively new (5-6 years?) phenomenon and they're actually very similar to what you find in UP and Bihar. Well, Jharkhand at least, because that's the experience I'm basing it upon. ;)
