Take a look at the French Wikipedia article for the village where there is a section on the historical names of the commune (see: fr:Ferrette#Toponymie). If you don't understand French, it's quite easy to follow with dates and names. The earliest recorded name seems to be Ferreto in 1104. Emeraude (talk) 11:13, 27 September 2015 (UTC)
