This is the primary meaning of Ceyx; see Ceyx (disambiguation): the neo-pagan divinity and the kingfisher are both named after him; and this dab is clumsy to link to. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 04:27, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Survey
[edit]- Support as nom. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 04:27, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

- Tentatively Oppose - here suggests there are two Ceyxs, which need disambiguating from each other, and from the kingfisher and pagan deity (which, though named after this Ceyx, might end up with separate articles in the future). Neddyseagoon - talk 14:03, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
- I intend to deal with that by making two sections in one article. As far as I know, no ancient authority positively says that Ceyx of Trachis was not the son of the Morning Star. It seems simplest to have one article for them than to have to decide, for every link, which one is meant. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 20:55, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
- Not that there are that many links, but I take your point wholeheartedly - the distinction, though it should be made, is (as usual in Greek myth) hardly hard and fast! :-) Neddyseagoon - talk 11:42, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

This article has been renamed from Ceyx (husband of Alcyone) to Ceyx as the result of a move request. --Stemonitis 06:44, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
