The final sentence says, "It is possible that Maqui Coline is linked to Coel, suggesting a rival family to that of Ceawlin." Should this read linked to Ceol, or is the idea actually to link him to Coel Hen in the Celtic North? Paul S (talk) 21:12, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have access to the Antiquaries Journal, but "Coel" looks to me to be a simple typo, since Ceol is the subject of the article and "Coel" would create a need to make reference to the "Celtic North", which the article doesn't as it stands. So I've changed "Coel" to "Ceol".[1]. Nortonius (talk) 06:05, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Good afternoon, Dudley: I noticed that Ceolwulf & Cynegils had been already linked, however not in this paragraph; I considered it easier on the eye and more comfortable for the reader to add the links to the breakdown so that all persons mentioned in this breakdown would have the same “status”; after all, it is the general public and not the “scholars” that read the Wikipedia; nevertheless, if you are of a different opinion, I will respect it; (BTW: Queen Seaxburh was not a descendant of Ceol and not a member of his sub-house, if any, as she was a member of the House of Wessex “only” by marriage); all the best--Jan Hejkrlík (talk) 12:58, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
