Victuallers 17:43, 16 March 2007 (UTC) So, do we allow Jayson Blair to be an alumnus? He did go to Centreville.[reply]

And what about Theatre Centreville Drama external site? Nothing I see wrong with that.

KeepOnTruckin 23:58, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am going to revert the edits by 208.31.155.254 because they are opinions and do not have factual basis. I will leave on the part about renovation and athletes being drug addicts with a template message

Those statements about "suspension for drug abuse" would probably be a reference to a few baseball players 2 or 3 years ago, but the writing is poor and, when taken out of context, could be assumed to indicate steroid use. I don't see the purpose in leaving it in, without any sources.

Notable?

[edit]

What is the criterion for being a "notable" alumnus/a? I suggest to list only those people who have a wikipedia article. --Aleph-4 10:40, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See this page for the guidelines regarding this. While having an article is a fairly good measure of notability, it's slightly more complicated than that. --FlamingSilmaril 22:01, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seung-hui Cho

[edit]

This article should be edited to remove Seung-hui Cho from the list of Centreville alumni. He is a graduate of crosstown rival school Westfield. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.24.31.108 (talk) 16:48, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That would be incorrect. Cho attneded Centreville for one school year, September 1999- June 2000, before going to Westfield, which opened in September 2000. KeepOnTruckin Complain to me | my work here 20:50, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ludacris

[edit]

Is there a cite or reference showing that Ludacris went here? I've looked, and the only one I've found is a passing mention here in the Washington Examiner. Any more concrete sources? FlamingSilmaril (talk) 15:19, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Call the school and ask? 703 802 5400 KeepOnTruckin Complain to me | my work here 04:32, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

According to Luda's own article, "He attended Oak Park and River Forest High School in Oak Park, Illinois, and Banneker High School in Atlanta, Georgia." I think this one is local legend. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.205.150.226 (talk) 15:41, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Cvhswildcat.gif

[edit]

Image:Cvhswildcat.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Athletics section

[edit]

The athletics section of this article is, in my view, perhaps a bit too extensive - especially considering none of the material is cited. It appears as though it may be original reporting. I think the notability of describing each season of different sports is questionable, it is already the largest section and will likely continue to grow disproportionately to the rest of the article. -Euphoria42 (talk) 23:22, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I blanked it, it was unsalvageable. Wizardman 18:43, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
