[edit]A photo of the mall, and the post-demolition acres of blacktop would be nice. 76.66.195.196 (talk) 07:18, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
When was the mall demolished?
[edit]What year was Centre 2000 torn down? I recall the very last tenant (Maxi's supermarket) closed shop either in 1999 or 2000 and it was very shortly after that the mall itself was demolished. I also remember thinking it was ironic the mall was demolished the same year of its name sake, so 2000 or 2001 sounds about right. Does anyone know the specific year it was demolished? I'm trying to find an online reference but having no luck. FYI: The mall's parking lot and floor ruins weren't demolished until the spring of 2011.
Found this bit of information: http://www.cbre.ca/EN/Our+Offices/Quebec/Montreal/Professional+Profile/RamsayLunan/Significant+Assignments.htm
"Completed sale of Centre 2000 in Laval, Quebec, a 375,000 SF enclosed retail mall (December 2000)."
If the physical building (not just land) was only sold December 2000, then it would make sense it was demolished sometime in 2001.
