Herkimer County

I'm really not sure Herkimer County (or Little Falls) ought to be included as part of Central New York. Very few people would think of it as such -- and Syracuse-area media generally do not cover events that far east. 128.230.239.88 18:49, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speech Patterns

Should the discussion of the CNY pronunciation of "elementary" be included in this article? I would think it would be more appropriate to include it either in Northern Cities Vowel Shift or North American English Regional Phonology.Jzcrandall (talk) 16:54, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

@DASonnenfeld: after you read through the Wikipedia guideline WP:REDUNDANCY, can you explain how this does not apply? Please look at the example given in that guideline and how the opening sentence of this article is written. Also, I think you mean "lose", not "loose".
