Problems

Although this article is supposedly about the Central Committee, the history section is devoted to meetings of the National Congress of the Communist Party. It does not mention the Central Committee or its members at any of these Congresses, and only goes up to 1945. There are a number of mistakes in the section. Under the section function and structure, there is no description of the Committee's structure and only two unsourced claims concerning its functions: one, that "full meetings of the Central Committee have been on occasion arenas in which there are real debates and decisions on party policy" and two, a vague statement concerning Hu Jintao's intentions to "increase intra-party democracy" by increasing the power held by the Central Committee. Major Changes

I effected major changes on this page (Wikipedia:Be bold), which are complete for the moment. Comments are welcome.

Many of my preferred sources are actually from sources that are not intended to shed light on actual CCP governance (such as Li Cheng's comments on the upcoming leadership succession. It would be good if we had a source that addresses the structure of the committee directly. (I'll add a link to the CCP constitution momentarily)). Politburo consists of 25 members. Standing Committee consists of nine (or seven, prior to 2002). The latter is the highest decision-making body in the country.Homunculus (duihua) 13:15, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing wording
