Can help add facts to the history prior to 1865 I think. AshLin (talk) 18:19, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The Most Rubbish Article

[edit]

It is in many places what it is not . The worst and the most rubbish I have found. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2406:5600:79:4DFD:1A7:132C:F30F:4F88 (talk) 02:58, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Scope and Methods ?

[edit]

This is a poorish article. It is not clear about whether the census, and others, took place only in British India, or in the princely states also, and it also says nothing about the methods used to gather the data. Seadowns (talk) 23:19, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Verifiability

[edit]

@Johnbod: I removed this info because it is not supported by any source. Why you are restoring it?

What is wrong with this edit? We need to use original names that appeared in the original census, not the ones we feel like using now. See page 355. Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 08:28, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
