Education and career
[edit]Ridgeway received her Bachelor's degree with Honors and distinction in Sociology from the University of Michigan in 1967 (cite stanford bio). She went on to receive her Master's and PhD in Sociology and Social Psychology from Cornell University in 1969 and 1972 respectively (cite stanford). She taught at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 1972-1985, attaining the rank of associate professor in 1978.
