Could you remove me as I'm not connected

[edit]

I don't understand why I've been posted here as connected with the subject of this article because I am not. I put it through Afc many moons ago, but have absolutely no connection other than that, so there is no COI or anything else. I've posted to that effect on the talk page of the editor who added this. I would prefer someone else to remove this, but will do so myself if they don't as it is just not correct. Many thanks. Libby norman (talk) 10:18, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In fact, I'm going to do this myself. It's clearly a good faith error by the editor who did this. Libby norman (talk) 10:25, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I've also removed the other COI notice placed on here for now as it concerns me that there may be a further good faith error. I've looked at the page creator's history and can't really see any evidence that would lead to naming him/her here in this way. All pages are created by someone – usually they have some interest/knowledge related to subject matter or something they have read. Sometimes, it may be a COI, but I think you should be looking for very firm reasons to post a name here – for instance, continued editing or content manipulation over a long period of time that goes beyond general interest in a page they were involved in. My inclination would also be to contact the editor first on their talk page to ask them if they are connected unless there is very clear evidence of tampering, otherwise it can appear somewhat heavy handed and does nothing to enhance Wikipedia's reputation for fairness.
