Marco Rubio: An analyst?

I'm curious as to how Marco Rubio qualifies as an "analyst" on the subject of the housing bubble. The sentence in question, under Mandated Loans, is "Many analysts, including conservatives such as Republican Senator Marco Rubio, have stated that the housing crisis was "created by reckless government policies." Rubio is not an analyst on real estate, finance or economics. He has no background in these subjects by virtue of education or experience. He's simply an elected official making a political observation. His quote may be supported by citation, but his authority most definitely is not. Allreet (talk) 18:57, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

I tweaked. Hard to lump together in tight sentence. Student7 (talk) 20:54, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
Agreed. Politicians making political statements should not be considered expert opinion. Zzsignup (talk) 09:46, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
