General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.

Overall: Article meets eligibility criteria - newness and length. No issues with tone. Article is well sourced. Earwig shows a slightly high number ~25%, but, all of the hits are to proper nouns. e.g. college names, course names etc. So, I do not see any issues. Hook is cited and is interesting too. However, I would want to ask the nominator if they would want to rev this further to boost the interestingness. I see that Cavagnaro has a record for the maximum flat spins. However, if the nominator wants to hold on to the current one, I will cede to their desires. QPQ is done. Passing back to the nominator. Ktin (talk) 02:40, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: Ktin You were faster...I wanted to review this one too. Someone beat her in holding the record which is also mentioned in the article.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 02:55, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Paradise Chronicle: Eikes, did not mean to take away this one. I typically end up marking a 'start of review' comment to avoid overstepping. :) Yup, saw that part about the record being broken. There have been a few messages recently re: interestingness at WT:DYK hence I make it a point to ask once to ensure that nominators give this a thought. I almost always go with the nominators' preference. Cheers. Ktin (talk) 03:15, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • I proposed ALT0 more for its rhythm than for the specific choice of claims it uses, but if you prefer:
the ambiguity of wording with spinning a musical record is deliberate, as an attempt to make the hook a little confusing so that readers might click on it to unconfuse themselves. Don't know if that's a good strategy, though. It has the disadvantage that it doesn't really give readers any clue what the article is actually about. A hook preparer might prefer

  • I like this. Can we introduce math as well? e.g. Math prof CC spun a record 60 times that was not to stay? or Math prof CC spun a record 60 times but didn't last? Ktin (talk) 08:50, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • If you don't mind something with more straightforward wording, we could say something like
    • ALT2 ... that record-setting airplane spinner Catherine Cavagnaro is also a professional mathematician?
