Artists Name
[edit]I am curious as to the correct spelling of the artists name?
I'm studying Art and its Histories at the Open University and one of the University supplied books spells its Catarina van Hemessen, repeatedly. With it being spelt Catharina de Hemessen in apparently her native tongue.
Google books also returns searches for both although appears to lean to the Caterina for english language books. Conorflan (talk) 23:30, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
- The Getty Union List gives the preferred name as "Hemessen, Catharina van". - PKM (talk) 22:38, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
