The airport is not listed as João Paulo II anywhere.
The airport's own website calls itself simply Ponta Delgada, and has no mention of João Paulo.
Template:Regions of Portugal: statistical (NUTS3) subregions and intercommunal entities are confused; they are not the same in all regions, and should be sublisted separately in each region: intermunicipal entities are sometimes larger and split by subregions (e.g. the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon has two subregions), some intercommunal entities are containing only parts of subregions. All subregions should be listed explicitly and not assume they are only intermunicipal entities (which accessorily are not statistic subdivisions but real administrative entities, so they should be listed below, probably using a smaller font: we can safely eliminate the subgrouping by type of intermunicipal entity from this box).

While not the instigator of this move, I agree that "Castelo de Mértola" should be moved/merged with "Castle of Mértola". What I don't agree with is the error of merging it the "Castle of Mertola". That is not the name of the location, it should be "Castle of Mértola". Further, the content should have been added to this article first, then a page move request should have been completed. In order to accomplish this move, it is likely that an user with Administrative privileges will be needed to resolve problems with this and secondary article. ruben jc ZEORYMER (talk) 10:28, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This sudden rename to Portuguese is not a consensus move. I ask the movee to explain this illogical renaming into Portuguese from the English, interestingly since I justed renaming this article to the appropriate English form "Castle of Mértola" not "Castelo de Mértola". This is not Portuguese Wikipedia, and there is a valid English naming standard for this type of content.ruben jc ZEORYMER (talk) 20:13, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Read WP:CUTPASTE. If the duplicate article hadn't been created then this could have easily been moved to Castle of Mértola, but because someone did create it, now only certain users can move it. We can request a move at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Merging the old article into the new one would split the page history, which is why I have been reverting lately.
