Orphaned references in Castle clock
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Castle clock's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "Hill2":
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 20:44, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
Topic Units
[edit]I have put the measurements in SI (International Units) and USA units in parenthesis in order to respect the fact that 90 % of Earth's popullation is using metric units. In Wikipedia which should be International, car should be that people write first in SI units.
Redirect
[edit]This article was essentially about Al-J's clock; and everything here is also there. "Castle clock" in the general sense is our article Turret clock so I've redirected it William M. Connolley (talk) 22:16, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- You need to merge the content of this article (including the picture if possible) into the target article you suggested, and not just redirect. I've reverted your redirect to this version. Al-Andalusi (talk) 22:39, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- Please check before you blindly revert. The content, and the pic, is already there William M. Connolley (talk) 22:40, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- Where ? Al-Andalusi (talk) 22:43, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- Al-Jazari#Castle_clock William M. Connolley (talk) 07:31, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- The target article of the redirect is Turret clock and not Al-Jazari. The former makes no mention of Al-Jazari or his contributions at all. In short, your move essentially deleted vital information on the history of clocks. Please merge before redirect. Al-Andalusi (talk) 03:54, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
