Bold textI can't find anything more on Cast! To say they were a fairly big band in the 90's, people soon forget! Ah well. Alright is still a grand song.--Crestville 12:46, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

'Magic Hour' has to be the most underrated album in existence. Anyone reading this, I highly advise to buy if you haven't already. Just thought I'd mention this (Terramax).

If you look up the lyrics of "Looking Glass" on Google, you'll probably be told that the last lines are "In the stone is cast - // The glass is smashed". This is what it says in the sleevenotes of my copy (which is the re-release rather than the original, so I don't know what that says). If you listen to the actual track, which I just did to confirm, these lines are followed by several repeats of "The change is cast", something distorted in the background which I can't make out, and some "doo de doo" stuff. So I've corrected the article, but I don't necessarily hold out much hope that Googlers won't switch it back again. Onebyone 20:41, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well this post should stop them. I've listen and I confirm it too. It says it a few times doesn't it!--Crestville 21:11, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I checked this article out of interest, some of the stuff related to The La's is scruffy or wrong. Just to note: Please cite John Power stating "drug use" was a factor in his leaving of The La's. It may well be (I would state he simply grew tied of endless re-recording), but allegations like that do need to be cited. I take it such a comment is sourced from an interview. Plus, there were three new songs played at The La's' reunion last year - not "none" as this article suggests, Power himself has spoken numerous times on the status of the La's album, and "weasel words" are used to give the article a strange slant. I'll edit it myself in a day or so but I know next to nothing about Cast so I'd rather someone with a more comprehensive outlook do it. ToneLa 18:55, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have changed England to UK in the after the split/reunion bit because they played in T-in the park in Scotland aswell as England. I actually now John quite well, though I haven't see him for years, I was actually there in Kirklands when he told us he had just got on a YPS to play bass in some band, which suprised us all as he couldn't play @ the time. I also knew Lee through John, I am never too sure what ppl are trying to say about the drug thing , like there is some doubt about Lee's Heroin use, but I can say from first hand experience that Lee did have a drug habbit, well @ least I have seen him buying drugs, I assume he used them afterwards, I can't see him forking out and then throwing them away.Yakacm (talk) 18:12, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have added the {POV} and {Wiki} tags - the article reads like a fansite/blog/muso magazine piece. Actually, that's unfair - it is nothing like as good as those. More references and much less fancruft bollocks please.

Fair use rationale for Image:CastBBCSessions.jpg

[edit]

Image:CastBBCSessions.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:50, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

KEITH O'NEILL TWITTER

@errkeith Hi Keith. Are Cast reforming La? 11:17 AM May 29th via Twitter for iPhone

@errkeith Will you be involved? Are there plans for an album, or am I getting carried away..!

@samueljweston yesnoyes 10:35 PM May 30th via Twitter for iPhone in reply to samueljweston

And there's the confirmation on BBC Radio.

None of those i am afraid are reliable third party refs (apart from the bbc which unfortunately cannot be clarified), i have given you the benefit of the doubt by stating that there are plans for a possible reunion this year, as yet not formally sourced through reliable refs. A link to a twitter account is not reliable. If you have other sources then please show them and it can be altered to go into the article. Monkeymanman (talk) 10:45, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Your new link is to a tour information website which states that the band may play shows in manchester this year. The fact is that it is not either a direct source from the band themselves or from a reliable third party. John powers myspace simply states that he has been writing new material for a new album here, while his own website has not been updated yet here. This will be confirmed in the next couple of months if it is to happen. We do not want to pre-empt / jinx things, we do not have a crystal ball to see the future. Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 3 external links on Cast (band). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Cast (band). Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

Cast are a progressive rock band from Mexico

[edit]

They have been making music since the 70s. Check out their albums here - I have no idea who this Cast is, but they need to change their name ;-) https://castoficial.bandcamp.com/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.162.141.14 (talk) 20:03, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
