There are some copy changes. I'm also unsure as to how reference 26 has content to support the claim, and I'd suggest archiving references too. But you're almost there! 7-day hold to BuySomeApples. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 07:17, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
Copy changes
[edit]Most comma removals are explained by User:Sammi Brie/Commas in sentences.
- Remove comma after five years before Rogue One,
- She refuses to leave her home behind, revealing that she is a rebel, and was inspired by reports of an attack on Aldhani. Remove the second comma
- Luthen decides to kill Cassian to keep his identity secret, and sends Cassian's teammates from Aldhani to kill him. Remove comma
- Hyphenate 12-hour
- After learning that prisoners are not released at the end of their sentences, and that the prison electrocuted one hundred men Remove comma
- In the Ultimate Star Wars New Edition, he is described as having been "battle-hardened" by his Separatist action during the Clone Wars, before being recruited into the Rebellion by General Davits Draven. Remove comma
- David Ehrlich of IndieWire wrote that the character was "a bit lost between archetypes, but he’s charming enough." Quoting a sentence fragment? Quotes before period. MOS:INOROUT (This recurs a few times)
- Critic Alan Sepinwall of Rolling Stone described this arc as a "hero's journey," while opining that it was the least compelling part of Andor's first season Remove comma
- Cassian is the first Star Wars character portrayed by a Mexican actor, and one of the first Latino lead characters in a Star Wars film. Remove comma
Sourcing and spot checks
[edit]Earwig flags cited quotes and a handful of unavoidable formulations and work titles. There are no unreliable sources. Encouragement: Archive references with IABot.
Six of the 64 references were selected at random for spot checks:
- 14: Syfy is republishing a quote from Empire magazine (which I'm guessing isn't online?):
That connected with what Tony [Gilroy, Andor's showrunner and executive producer] wanted to do.
. This seems to justify the source. - 17: CBR article on Luna and Arjona voicing their own characters in the Spanish dub.
- 22:
But it is about that, and it’s about how much we’re all capable of changing and transforming, and that’s the beauty of storytelling.
Also seems to be reprinted from another website, but it is correctly characterized here. - 26: Could you guide me here? I'm seeing this attributed to a Maarva but not Cassian. Note: There is not enough citation metadata in the reference. This should mention author Erik Amaya and work Rotten Tomatoes.
- 31: IGN article on the Rogue One novel; Cassian Andor is mentioned in the publisher's plot description.
- 41: The Daily Beast review of Andor. I'd say this is a positive characterization:
Luna embodies him with grim, composed determination laced with simmering anger and resentment. At least in the first four episodes that were provided to press, Luna evokes Andor’s severity and skill with aplomb, if not many other shades of his personality.
Images
[edit]- There are two images. The infobox is a non-free snapshot with NFUR. There is also a CC-licensed actor headshot. Encouragement: The latter has alt text; add it to the former by adding

to the infobox.
- Thanks for the review! @Sammi Brie: I'm going to start working on these. BuySomeApples (talk) 07:27, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
- I see the copy changes, @BuySomeApples. Can you help me through ref 26? Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 04:43, 31 January 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry for taking so long @Sammi Brie:! I've been fighting a head cold and tbh it's winning. The sourcing is kind of spread out throughout the page:
- "But first, I knew on page that this was really important in order to shape Cassian Andor, to understand where it comes from, where the commitment comes from, where the clarity comes from. The learning in that prison is “you can’t go back.” Once you know life means so little to them, once you know that they’re willing to sacrifice anyone because you are nothing to them, it triggers something [in Cassian]." and after the Maarva passage it says that the prison was the point where things changed for Cassian. BuySomeApples (talk) 10:53, 4 February 2023 (UTC)
- Tbh ref 25 is probably a more clear source for that: (my bad!) "Cassian will presumably emerge from prison more determined than ever to destroy the Empire. It could be the Force guiding him gently to his destiny, or it could just be another weekday in Palpatine's galaxy. Whatever the cause, it puts him in the Rebels' camp almost by default, " This is the passage I'm mainly pulling from so I moved it to the end of the sentence. BuySomeApples (talk) 10:53, 4 February 2023 (UTC)
- I'll accept that change. Looks like you fixed the lacking metadata as well. Sorry for the delay. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 23:19, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
