Not sure about the politician category

[edit]

Maybe there should be a "BC Bureacrats" or "BC officials" category; Caspar had political power, to be sure, but he wasn't a practicing politician in the usual sense. There will be other senior bureaucrats who will have bios and are political figures, but not politicians; wondering if there should be a special category for them?Skookum1 18:18, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I recategorized. There is a Canadian civil servants category. Perhaps when that category gets too big, we can split it. --Usgnus 20:16, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
'K, thanks. Should be noted that Government Agents and Gold Commissioners had the clout and powers of a magistrate or justice. Articles on those two positions have not yet been written, but any idea which category they should be in when the time comes? (Gold Commissioner was originally a colonial title, BTW).Skookum1 21:38, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Civil servant is pretty broad and should cover those for now, IMO. --Usgnus 21:42, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Gold Commissioner has been created, also a stub for Indian Agent; Government Agent needs writing but it remains an important regional title in BC, so is in need of an article (I don't hv time for hte research.Skookum1 19:57, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
