Current name of gimmick

[edit]

For the sake of continuity (and in accordance with current wrestlers' wiki-pages, see Jon Moxley as example) would it be a fair move to change wiki-page names of AEW wrestlers to their latest, most current AEW gimmick?

As an example: 'Dash Wilder' getting changed into 'Cash Wheeler' 'Scott Dawson' getting changed into 'Dax Harwood'

These are both wrestlers' most current gimmick and their actual last names. Thanks for considering! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A05:DCC0:16:8700:E877:8CB3:57AD:94A1 (talk) 13:06, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Every wrestler it's different. When Moxley left WWE, he was part of NJPW and AEW, a big impact in his debut and worked in the G1 Climax. Other wrestlers lile No Way Jose or Darren Young, still under the WWE name because it's the WP:COMMONNAME. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 14:34, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Have to disagree with the above point - Darren Young is now commonly known by his birth name, Fred Rosser. He has appeared on numerous national talk shows, both on TV and radio, under his real name, and now also wrestles under his real name too. By extension, I also have to disagree that Harwood and Wheeler should continue to be known by their ring names in WWE - they are now known to wresle for another wrestling promotion, that like WWE, is also both nationally and internationally televised. In my opinion at least, it disingenious then to say that their old WWE ring names are their common names per Wikipedia policy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.3.46.8 (talk) 14:39, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
