[edit]I have changed the category for this entry from "Cities of New Hampshire" to "Unincorporated Communities of New Hampshire". Cascade is clearly not a city, but I notice that the "unincorporated communities" category only contains unincorporated townships at this point, not smaller communities that are located within incorporated cities or towns. The category "Census-Designated Places" already contains several villages, such as Contoocook or Groveton, which are not incorporated, but I wanted to be able to have a place for some of the smaller villages which already have articles written about them but don't seem to fit anywhere else yet. (Etna is another candidate for the unincorporated places category.) Comments? Ken Gallager 15:53, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
-I think "Hamlet" may fit this and Etna a little bit better, what do you think?--Russianamerican1 (talk) 23:33, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
- "Hamlet" has a technical meaning in the state of New York, but has no such meaning in New Hampshire, and I have almost never heard it used here. "Village" could mean specifically "being part of a village district", but it also is regularly used to mean any named settlement within a larger incorporated community. --Ken Gallager (talk) 12:38, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
Cascade Hill & Cascade Flats
[edit]Is it worth mentioning that there are two sections of “Cascade Village” known as Cascade Hill and Cascade Flats? The Flats are where Mary's Pizza and the mill is and the hill is where Mother Goose Daycare is. --Russianamerican1 (talk) 00:25, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- By all means! Any distinctions like that, with history as well, would be welcome. --Ken Gallager (talk) 12:39, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, I don't know if there is any refs. about Cascade village but I'll try to find some because this article needs a little more of them.--Russianamerican1 (talk) 15:34, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- I edited and added some information. I also added a “History” section. The article looks a little more well presented.--Russianamerican1 (talk) 17:19, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
