Greetings, please consider looking into the vasculature present in immature acrticular cartilage. This vasculature is generally described as a series of cartilage canals. These canals aid in the mineralization cartilage for the formation of calcified cartilage and for the formation of subchondral bone along the front of bony invasion moving from the epiphyseal sencondary center of ossification. This is well characterized in pig as premature calcification of these canals leads to osteochondrosis latents.
