Stubbed
[edit]I rolled this version back to a version pre-dating the insertion of copyrighted material from "The Carronade Island Guns and Southeast Asian Gun Founding" by Jeremy Green. The best example of a copyright violation is the sentence "In July 1916, during a visit by HMAS Encounter, two bronze cannons were discovered by Commander C.W. Stevens and Surgeon Lieutenant W. Roberts on a small unnamed island.", a verbatim copy of a sentence in Green, which was in the version that I reverted. A number of other sentences were verbatim copies when first inserted, but have since been slightly rewritten, so that they now very similar but not quite identical.
I apologise to those editors (including me) who had subsequently edited the article, and whose edits have been lost in my revert. Feel free to re-insert your own material, and, if you want, re-insert, in your own words, the information previously covered by the copyvio.

- Stubbified again. The expanded version is a blatant copyright violation of http://www.museum.wa.gov.au/collections/maritime/march/documents/No.%20215%20Carronade%20Is%20Gun.pdf. Do not revert to it again. Hesperian 06:00, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
