I'm a resident in vascular surgery in Paris,France ,so I summed up how CEA is REALLY done
- Thank you. As no other vascular surgeons had shown an interest in creating this article, this completely unsurgical doctor who has never witnessed an endarterectomy felt compelled to write it. Thanks for correcting my mistakes and rephrasing the contraindications. JFW | T@lk 16:47, 28 September 2005 (UTC)
- The Wikipedia paradox is that, if you really know about something, because you have first-hand experience and training, you're not supposed to write about it because it violates WP:NOR. However, I won't tell anybody. Nbauman (talk) 07:29, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
- You can write about something you really know about without it being your original research. CEA has been done for 40 years. Also, @Drepanopulos, there is substantial variation across geographic regions and across specialties in the technique of CEA. BakerStMD T|C 18:06, 24 July 2014 (UTC)
Carotid Stenting
[edit]After the description of the CEA procedure, there is a substantial section on stenting. This properly belongs under a separate article.Bakerstmd (talk) 02:20, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
Shorten Intro
[edit]Intro currently too long and not friendly to a lay audience. Should be shortened per standards for procedures and operations. BakerStMD 15:53, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
