This page should not be speedily deleted because... the Carolina Crusher truck is a historically popular and successful truck, and its recent revival on the Monster Jam circuit proves its notability. Throughout the late 1980s to the late 1990s, Carolina Crusher competed in the top monster truck racing series, including the TNT Motorsports Monster Truck Challenge, USHRA Camel Mud & Monsters, and the Special Events PENDA Points Series. These series were the only in monster truck racing that received televised broadcasts of the events, promoting the trucks to a much wider audience than only the live patrons at monster truck events. Carolina Crusher won the points championship in the inaugural seasons of the Special Events PENDA Points Series, and was the only truck outside of the Bigfoot team to win the Special Events PENDA Points Series during its seven year run. The popularity of Carolina Crusher is evidenced by its marketability in toys and video games, including the Monster Truck Madness video game series, and collectable toys from the late 1980s and early 1990s Tuff Trax and Micro Machines series. Today, Carolina Crusher is held in high regard by Monster Jam. The revival of the truck for its 30th anniversary proves its longevity and staying power with fans. The Monster Jam series even calls the truck "legendary." Many news outlets, including the Greensboro News and Record, Burlington Times News, Fayetteville Observer, WFMY, WTHV11, KATV, KARK, have given specific coverage to Carolina Crusher and its return to the monster truck circuit.
