Selected songs section
[edit]I think the "Selected songs" section should be organized not by singer, but in chronological order by song name, per other lists of songs by singers, writers, etc. I would have done it, but I don't know when each song was written. Tinlinkin 02:41, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- No one has responded to this matter, raised a decade ago. I'm org'g alpha by title. Labeling any with "No date", "No date known", "Incomplete", etc. (reflecting mostly our failure to hunt down almost always available info, AND having the effect of discouraging readers from making the effort AND inviting the assumption that we think diligence is insufficient to determine the missing ones) would also disparage our readers' firm grasp of the obvious: they can see when we haven't included a date.

- Let's be perfectly clear: Nor i, nor you, own the section in question. Nevertheless, i'll probably back at it in days or a week; so if someone can't wait, go ahead.
But it would be foolish to revert my work in favor of implementing a different approach, if you aren't prepared to finish before i get back to it, so consider working from the end backwards toward where i left off, and pinging me when you feel close to that point. That would put us both in a better position for an "intelligent discussion between gentle[folk]"; i can easily imagine that you'll have worked out a superior approach, and that i'd be willing to implement your model in the part i already messed up.

- With all due respect, with the level of quality and quantity that Sager has produced, this really should be a linked article page all its own. On a separate note, a drive-by admin or editor who takes professional appearance on WP would have reverted this rather "thrown-together" list with its numerous punctuation errors, incomplete data, and in some cases contestable content, with the tag: needs significant clean-up. Regardless of the talk page or tag associated with the initial saved content. A WP article is not a draft in which to return and "work on". I highly recommend this to be reverted by its initial contributor, re-worked in keeping with other WP lists (leave out the superfluous: "Theme from ..." and "with connection to ..," etc. On first view, it looks very sloppy: "Theme from ..." -- sorted alphabetically by titles of the films in question." "Anyone at All" listed twice, and parenthetical incorrect usage, etc. IMHO. You're very lucky it wasn't rv'd Maineartists (talk) 11:03, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
