  • ... that actor John Lithgow appeared in the ballet Carnival of the Animals as an elephant? Source: "Lithgow himself narrates, and also dances — nimbly — in that gray chiffon number, impersonating a female elephant in one of the ballet’s most delightful sequences." ([1])
    • ALT1:... that actor and author John Lithgow wrote the narrations for the in the ballet Carnival of the Animals? Source: "His new ballet, a collaboration with the actor John Lithgow, who appears onstage to read his own narration and even dance in a special way, takes a typically original approach to the music." ([2])
    • ALT2:... that the 2003 ballet Carnival of the Animals is set in the American Museum of Natural History? Source: "The ballet, set in the American Museum of Natural History (which Mr. Wheeldon frequents for its amazing mix of the grotesque and the wonderful) ([3])

Interesting ballet, on good sources, no copyvio ovious. The original hook would be good for the actor, but less so for the ballet. How about trying to get the ballet first, and say that the narrator also appears dancing as the school nurse and a female elephant. More attractive than that he wrote the narration, I think. It would need "female" added to the article. - In the article, I wonder if we could say Le carnaval des animaux for the French composer's creation. ALT2 is great after having read the article, but I didn't get it before. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:27, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Gerda Arendt: I noted that the elephant is female in the synopsis, and used the French title of the score, here's a rephrased ALT0.
ALT0a: ... in the ballet Carnival of the Animals, the narrator also appears as a school nurse and a female elephant? Corachow (talk) 21:28, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That works well for me, thank you! - If you like you can link to the actor, piped or open, just not before the bolded subject. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:32, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Here's the version with Lithgow.
ALT0b: ... in the 2003 ballet Carnival of the Animals, actor John Lithgow appeared as a school nurse and a female elephant? Corachow (talk) 21:39, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And another - thinking that narrator is an even greater contrast than actor:
ALT0c: ... in the 2003 ballet Carnival of the Animals, the narrator appeared as a school nurse and a female elephant?
