Donagh High Cross visited by St. Patrick?

[edit]

An anonymous user changed

It is the site of the famous Donagh Cross.

to

It is the site of the Donagh Cross, which was said to have been visited by St. Patrick.

This is unfortunately not correct as the cross is from the 7th century or a later period and came therefore at least two centuries after St. Patrick. However, according to the Trias Thaumaturga by John Colgan, 1647, we know that Donagh is a foundation by St. Patrick for Bishop Mac Cairthen, brother of the bishop of Clogher. Hence, I took the freedom to correct the text in this regard. --AFBorchert 07:22, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Richard Cunningham, Oliver Roddy and Shaun O, are the main plastering contractors in this small town. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.45.16.221 (talk) 21:28, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
