A fact from Carla Herrero appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 16 December 2019 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that after her own childhood experiences, Carla Herrero founded Rompe el Silencio ("Breaking the Silence") to support youth who have suffered bullying, abuse, and psychological disorders?

... that Carla Herrero(pictured) realized she had been bullied in school for eight years only when she entered a new school environment? Source: Te Interesa "Fue al cambiar de centro para iniciar el Bachillerato cuando se dio cuenta de sus heridas y empezó a hablar" (It was when she changed schools to start bachillerato when she became aware her injuries and began to speak) La Vanguardia "Empezó a hablar, la relación con los compañeros fue buena y se dio cuenta de lo que le había pasado..." (She began to talk, her relationship with her classmates was good and she became aware of what had happened...)
ALT1:... that Carla Herrero's(pictured) experience being bullied for eight years inspired a research project she did about youth identity amid bullying? Source: Te Interesa "Carla volcó su historia y sufrimiento en un trabajo de investigación de Bachillerato..." (Carla turned her story and suffering into a bachillerato research work...) This is a drive-by comment for now, but I'm not sure if ALT0 is a good idea. Not only is it a very downlifting hook, it's probably not a good idea to focus on such a negative aspect of her life. ALT1 might have more potential, but it may be need to be reworded to put focus away from the bullying part. Narutolovehinata5tccsdnew02:24, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Narutolovehinata5: Sorry not to have answered earlier; I didn't realize you were waiting for a response. I argue the hooks are appropriate, for the subject is notable for her anti-bullying advocacy. Perhaps a hook should refer to her as an anti-bullying activist. What are your thoughts? Hameltion (talk, contribs) 04:33, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not against there being a mention of bullying in a hook, only that a hook that mentions it sounds positive instead of sounding negative. ALT1 would likely serve as a basis for this, I'd suggest that in that case the activism be mentioned first instead of the bullying. Narutolovehinata5tccsdnew04:58, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
ALT2 ... that Carla Herrero's research projects on youth identity amid bullying were inspired by her own experiences being bullied in school for eight years?
Comment: The only thing this woman is noted for on WP is her work and experience involving bullying, so the fact there are negative connotations to those experiences cannot matter to a hook. However, simply saying, hello, did you know someone was bullied, is not catchy at all on its own. Most or many of us bully and get bullied to a degree as we develop social experience. 8 years is a long time but it doesn't establish itself in a hookiness way.

Striking ALT3, which is also over 200 characters. ALT3a is just under:
