[Is it really necessary to point out?]
[edit]Is it really necessary to point out someone is gay immediately after the article states that they've won a literary award for gay poetry? Is that not something one should be able to infer and not, I don't know, parenthesize? If he was nominated for poet laureate of Missouri would you then make it a point to state he's a resident of Missouri? Come on. I'm erasing it.
