1864 or 1865
[edit]I am confused by the recent revert.
According to my sources [in Danish] the peace negotiations between Denmark and Prussia-Austria started in Vienna on 25 July 1864. The peace treaty was signed in Vienna on 30 October 1864 whereby Denmark lost the three Duchies (Holstein, Schleswig and Laurenberg). On 12 November 1864 the Danish King (Christian) signed the peace treaty after a day in which the Danish parliament had voted with a large majority for peace. All this from pages 423 - 425 of "Dommedag Als" by Tom Buk-Swienty published by Gyldendal in 2010.
Or am I misreading the 1865 reference - was it in 1865 that Jessen returned to his home patch? In which case, perhaps the wording needs reworking? Viking1808 (talk) 17:57, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
