Spelling

First name - Karl or Carl

In the orbituary, the spelling is clearly Carl. Power.corrupts (talk) 15:34, 27 May 2008 (UTC).[reply]

In foreign references his first name is often with K - Karl Edouard Marius Levy. The Swedish Wiki uses Carl (like the obituary). Power.corrupts (talk) 09:02, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Middle name - Eduard or Edvard

In the orbituary, spelling is Eduard, clearly , although written in Gothic letters. In the later biography the spelling is Edvard - the later spelling has been used. Power.corrupts (talk) 09:27, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Foreign spelling

In Carter's English translation of Semmelweis' main work (in German) the spelling is "Levy, Karl Edouard Marius", which has survived in other references. I believe this is a typo of sorts. Redirects have been established. Power.corrupts (talk) 09:28, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
