Fair use rationale for Image:Cargolux logo.PNG
[edit]Image:Cargolux logo.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:10, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Proposal to merge Cargolux Destinations with the article
[edit]- (Am I the first to respond to this flag, or has the discussion been archived?)
- No Major commercial airlines' destination pages aren't merged with their main pages, no reason for this to be merged. Jamiebijania (talk) 15:38, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
- This isnt a reason not to have it merged. Its not long enough and doesnt justify its own article. --JetBlast (talk) 17:07, 20 November 2012 (UTC)

False fire indications
[edit]I was in adding two other, very similar incidents of false fire indications, when my edit was reverted. I thougt it was interesting that it happened several times, each time seemingly due to the flowers as cargo. Just a suggestion, maybe it is notable for this article?
-February 2024: A Boeing 747-400 LX-NCL carrying flowers from Miami to Amsterdam had to be diverted to Shannon, Ireland, due to a cargo deck fire warning. The aircraft landed safely and the crew was evacuated, emergency services at the scene found no evidence of heat, smoke or fire. The incident caused the airport to be closed for 2 hours while the aircraft was towed off the runway. Source 1 Similar incidents with Boeing 747-400 Cargolux aircraft carrying flowers had occurred on 1 February 2022 on a flight from Miami to Amsterdam, Source 2 and on 14 Mach 2014, on a flight from Aguadilla to Maastricht, both of which had to be diverted to Shannon airport because of false fire indications.
